Today Tank-Masters.de visited the open day of Aufklärungsbataillon 13 based in Gotha, Germany
On 24 June 2015 Tank-Masters.de was invited to the official ceremony when Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann formally handed over the Puma Infantry Fighting Vehicle to the German Bundeswehr. The Bundeswehr’s fielding of the Puma IFV gives its mechanized infantry a new main weapons system that will gradually supersede the Marder, first introduced over forty years ago.
Recently Tank-Masters.de photographed the new German Army Leopard 2A7 Main Battle Tank with 2nd Company, 203rd Armor Battalion in Augustdorf for a new book project.
From 13 to 16 June Tank-Masters.de visited the brigade training exercise Heidesturm of Panzerlehrbrigade 9 at the German Army Combat Training Center in Letzlingen.

During the last days Tank-Masters.de visited the river crossing operations of Panzerlehrbrigade 9 during the brigade training exercise Heidesturm near Storkau and Rathenow, Germany. As part of this exercise and for the first time in history M1A2 SEP V2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks, M2A3 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles as well as various trucks of Delta Company „Dark Knights“, 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd U.S. Infantry Division crossed the river Elbe on German M3 Amphibious Rigs of Schweres Pionierbataillon 130.
On 31 May 2015 Tank-Masters.de was invited to visit the Field Training Exercise Falcon Viking of NATOs newly established Very High Readiness Joint Task Force at the Bergen training area in Germany.
