GTK Boxer A1 Gruppentransportfahrzeug

The GTK Boxer A1 Armored Personnel Carrier, which was fielded with the Bundeswehr beginning in November 2010, took over missions orginally performed by the Transportpanzer 1 Fuchs. Depending on mission requirements the FLW 200 remote weapon station of the vehicle can be armed with a 12.7mm x 99 M2HB QCB machine gun or a Heckler & Koch 40mm x 53 automatic grenade launcher. Additionally a 76mm smoke grenade discharger system with six launchers is attached to the remote weapon station. In contrast to the original A0 version, mine protection plates have been added, the CG-12 ECM system was installed and the FLW 200 RWS was mounted on a 300mm platform for better target engagement close to the vehicle.
