ATF Dingo 1 Patrouillen- und Sicherungsfahrzeug
The all-wheel-drive ATF Dingo 1 Patrol and Security Vehicle is built using a modular concept. During an official rollout ceremony on 24 August 2000, the Bundeswehr received the first two production vehicles of the 56 ordered. In November 2001 a second lot of 57 vehicles was ordered followed by a third lot of 34 vehicles in March 2002. In total, the Bundeswehr procured 143 ATF Dingo 1s. The vehicle basically consists of five main components: the chassis, engine compartment, armored cell, mine protection deflector and rear storage compartment. The armament consists of the 360° Type 1530 weapon station with a 7.62mm x 51 MG3A1T machine gun.
