The fully digitised M2A3 Bradley ICV had its combat debut during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. The basic layout of the M2A3 Bradley is very similar to the standard version of the M2A2. The development of the M2/M3 dates back to the 1960s when plans were made to replace the M113 APC and M551 Sheridan.
