BW – GTK Boxer A0 FüFzg
GTK Boxer A0 Führungsfahrzeug
The GTK Boxer A0 Command Vehicle, which was fielded with the Bundeswehr beginning in 2011, took over missions orginally performed by the Transportpanzer 1 Fuchs. The GTK Boxer Command Vehicle is used as a mobile command post or mobile tactical operations center at the battalion level for intervention forces and stabilization forces, as well as a command vehicle for infantry and tank company commanders. The vehicle is an important element of the current FüInfoSysH command and control information system of the German Army and the future command and control information system of the Armed Forces. The Bundeswehr fielded 65 GTK Boxer Command Vehicles. By now all GTK Boxer A0 Command Vehicles were upgraded to the A1 configuration. Depending on mission requirements the FLW 200 remote weapon station of the vehicle can be armed with a 12.7mm x 99 M2HB QCB machine gun or a Heckler & Koch 40mm x 53 automatic grenade launcher. Additionally a 76mm smoke grenade discharger system with six launchers is attached to the remote weapon station.
