The Transportpanzer 1A8A1 Fuchs Standard mit SEM 80/90, mit Zusatzpanzerung, IED-/Minenschutz, Raumkühlanlage, Schutzausstattung CG-12 und Einbausatz Funktrupp Datenverarbeitung-Führung-Unterstützung Mobile Command Post Vehicle Data-Processing, Command and Support has a crew of five soldiers. Originally, 16 vehicles of this variant were procured, of which two were converted to Transportpanzer 1A8A17 with CG-20+ counter-explosive device. In the meantime, an additional 18 Transportpanzer 1A8A1 vehicles were ordered and fielded. The armament consists of a 7.62mm x 51 MG3 machine gun and a 76mm smoke grenade discharger system with six launchers.
