ATF Dingo 2 GE A2.3 KWS Patrouillen- und Sicherungsfahrzeug
With the introduction of the ATF Dingo 2 GE A2.3 Patrol and Security Vehicle variant, 3rd production lot vehicles for the first time received the FLW 100 and FLW 200 remote controlled weapon (RWS) station directly from the factory instead of the manual Type 150 weapon station. A total of 34 ATF Dingo 2 GE A2.3 KWS patrol vehicles with the FLW 200 RWS were procured. The RWS is controlled by the gunner sitting in the center of the last seat row in the armored cell. The gunner has a joystick to observe, aim and fire the weapon as well as a control unit wth a 12-inch color monitor fitted to a special mount on the roof of the cell. The LAZ 400 sensor head of the FLW 200 consists of a CCD color camera, cooled thermal sight, laser rangefinder and automatic gun-laying drives. The armament of the vehicle consists of the 360° FLW 200 remote weapon station with a 12.7mm x 99 M2HB QCB machine gun or a 40mm x 53 Heckler & Koch Automatic Grenade Launcher.
